Abseil and Facade Access Systems

Where there is a requirement for abseil access to a buildings facade, Abseil/Rope Access Systems will be required to provide safe anchorage for facade & window cleaning, maintenance and repair.

PBI will work with you to understand the specific requirements of your building or structure, to ensure the correct specification of rail & track systems, davit arms and abseil anchor points. Parapets and complex facades and access requirements are a speciality, we are experts in design to ensure the easiest work method for asset management over the life of the building or structure.

Anchor Points

Anchors often form a vital part of a complete fall protection solution (i.e. pendulum anchors), or sometimes they are their own solution.

Anchors are usually installed and used to connect lanyards and other forms of tie-off to provide fall-restraint or fall-arrest.

PBI is proud to supply and install a diverse range of surface mounted or structurally fixed abseil and fall-arrest anchor points that can be used across a wide-range of roof profiles and surfaces.

Davit & Needle Systems

Depending on your project, davit and needle systems can for an important part of your height safety solution.

DAVITS


From a working at height perspective, a davit system is a portable lightweight anchor device that can be used in fall-arrest scenarios, abseil and for rescue either after a fall or for an emergency escape from a dangerous situations. With removable arms poles are arm, davit system bases can be covered when not in use for aesthetic purposes.

NEEDLES


Needle systems protrude over the facade of a building or edge of a structure providing a secure anchorage for abseiling or for a rescue situation. Often connected to a rail system, needles can be moved along a surface to provide uses flexibility.

Cable Systems

Cable Systems (often referred too as "static lines" or "horizontal lifelines") are a extremely useful fall protection option to provide a users with continuous hands-free connection.

Consisting of wire cable secured by a series of end-termination, intermediate and corner anchor posts, cable systems can allow multiple users to connect using a harness, lanyard and shuttle. As a result, cable systems are ideal for large areas like warehouse and rooftop roofs.

With roof, surface or structurally mounted options, cable systems are is extremely flexible and can be used as part of a wider height safety solution.

Rail Systems

Rail systems are arguably one of most flexible and useful fall protection systems. With a range of abseil and fall-arrest application, rail systems often offer flexible installation options that include surface mounted, side-mounted and overhead.

Most rail systems allow multiple users making them extremely productive and efficient when completing work. They are also extremely useful in rescue situations.

A key benefit in the rail vs cable system decision is that rail systems often have even load distribution which ensures that even if one user falls, the integrity of the system will not be compromised.

Vertical Systems

PBI is proud to supply and install industry-leading vertical fall protection systems that keep users safe while accessing heights.

Whether you're working above or below ground, going up to a different level often involves the risk of falling.

Vertical systems allows users to connect to a safety system prior to leaving their level (i.e. the ground) and ascending to a different level/height.
